OMG! You are very right about the Van Der Heyden Late Harvest Cabernet. Truly remarkable. I'm also a fan of their Late Harvest Merlot.

AHHHH! YES!!! Prager....One of. if not the best producer of Port Wines. I am secretly guarding a 2002 Aria White Port, a 2005 Sweet Clare Reisling and a 2003 Petite Syrah (no longer in circulation I believe). And it is true, this is a fantastic desert wine that I have ever tasted as far as ports go. They are excellant alone, but when paired with any desert, it truely is a Religious experience. The only other time I was inraptured by a desert wine was about 4 years ago when my now son in law introduced me to a 1999 Late Harvest Cabernet from Van Der Heyden Winery in the Napa Valley. To me, this wine was soo intoxicating that I dared not drink it, knowing the the aroma and the flavor would soon be but a distant memory. I spent about 10 minuets just taking in the thick rich black berry, black cherry and chocolet aroma that this wine notes. And yes it tasted exactly the way it smelled, Heavenly. You must try them both, you will not be dissapointed.......
