Murphy Vineyards

Peter Murphy has done it!  This Merlot is by far one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The smell alone will relax your senses.  Full-bodied with deep aromas of dark fruit and a long finish that will call you back for more. Although it has the characteristics of a well-aged wine, I agree with Kevin Murphy that this is a wine that will improve over time.

I discovered Murphy Vineyards at the Family Winemakers of California convention last March at the Del Mar fairgrounds in Southern California and was very impressed with their wines and prices.  I can’t tell you how nice it is to see a family based winery from Napa Valley producing great wines at prices their local community can afford.

I recommend that everyone visits Murphy Vineyards and checks out their Vintage Cabernet Special.  Three vintages, 98, 99, 00, for $35!  Shipping not included.  I just opened their 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon and was very impressed.  I also served their 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon at a BBQ last weekend and it was a huge hit.  It goes very well with a juicy tri-tip steak.

Be sure to tell them Frank sent you.  Oh, and be sure to write a review on their website to receive a coupon for 50% off your next order.  While the offer lasts.

Cheers!

  1. I was at the BBQ, and I can concur, it was perfect with juicy tri-tip. A wine that does the job, and then some. Truly delicious.

Thanks for bringing it Frank. You’re a goode man.
