On July 9th my friend RICK BAKAS was appointed by St. Supery Winery as the Director of Social Media Marketing! To celebrate this amazing accomplishment, Rick and I teamed up to produce a tribute video to invite everyone to visit him at the winery and announce his plans to take the tasting room on the road.

Rick and I became social media brothers when we first participated in the Murphy-Goode Competition. Since then we’ve embraced the team spirit put forth by Paul Mabray at Vintank and our friendship has grown stronger ever since. Rick Bakas has over 15 years experience working as a brand manager for companies such as Nike and The Sports Authority and has an in-depth knowledge of wine sales from his time at BDC Summit Distributors in Denver, Colorado.

Rick is an amazing person with a great sense of humor, passion for wine and is a master of marketing and branding on all the social media platforms. I encourage everyone to reach out to him on Facebook, Twitter, FriendFeed, Brightkite, LinkedIn and discover how amazing he truly is. While we were working on the video, Rick rolled out the red carpet for our visit by hosting a special wine tasting event and gave us the grand tour of the winery grounds. We experienced the St. Supery Discovery Center, Explored the rich depths of the wine cellar and sipped wine in the estate vineyard.

Cheers to your success, Rick! Bring home the bacon!
All of you are a great team and I am so pleased that all of you have all become friends. It truly is a digital wine marketing dream team and I feel fortunate to have met all of you and include you in the VinTank family.
What a great thing to say about someone. Says just as much about your character, Frank, as it does Ricks. So I will make sure to follow both of you on Twitter
Can’t wait to see where the wine social media world takes us all!! Lindsay
Such a beautiful sentiment, you guys! So happy to see your friendship still going strong – I am certain the fruits of all this are just beginning to show, and seeing you two and how you’re supporting each other really swells the heart. Keep the dream going!
