Today my parents picked up a bottle of the Murphy-Goode “Liar’s Dice” Zinfandel. This is personally my favorite wine from Murphy-Goode and I can’t wait to hear what my folks think of it. Anita and I spent all day preparing for tomorrows shoot. We will be filming a Backyard Wine Tasting at her parent’s house and it will feature some close friends of mine. And yes, we will be serving the “Liar’s Dice” Zinfandel. Hope to have some wonderful pictures posted by Sunday afternoon. Stay tuned.
What’s your favorite Murphy-Goode wine?
The Murphy-Goode “Liars Dice” Zinfandel was very nice. For a 2006 vintage it was very smooth and fruity, with very light tanens. This wine will pair well with many foods as well as deserts. We had ours with a nice Top Sirloin pan seared and oven roasted with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. An outdoor grilled steak would be fantastic. We chose to decant it and let it rest about 1/2 hr before we drank it and it totally changed the character of the wine. This wine was soo good, we finished it before we were done with our meal, I should have bought two bottles. For $13 it is a steal, going back for more today……
